The hop (“luppolo” in Italian) is a large, climbing plant. Its female flowers contain lupulin, a resinous substance which gives beer its refreshing BITTER NOTES AND AROMAS. COLOMBUS
It's currently one of the most important high alpha varieties. Aroma: piquant, black pepper, licorice.
SAAZ
The success of this old, traditional variety lies in its particularly mild hoppy note. Aroma: spicy, lavender, cedarwood.
